Art Show at the Cloister Gallery at St. Andrew's Church

The Cloister Gallery at St. Andrew’s Church is featuring an exhibition by artist Sandra Winter. The show will open with a reception on Sunday October 28th from 11:15am-1:00 p.m. and run through Friday November 30th. The Cloister Gallery at St. Andrew’s Church is located at 135 Lafayette St., Marblehead. The Gallery hours are M-F 9am-2pm, Sa 9-10:30am, Su 8am-12pm. The Gallery is handicapped accessible. Sandra says “At the time of this show, Doors of Transformation, I am four days away from my 80th birthday and have been quietly writing essays and making art under the radar for a few decades. Found objects, cardboard, asphalt shingles, staples, these humble materials, plus my imagination are my materials for making art. I have had very little formal training. My inspiration is provided by what I experience in the ordinary events of everyday life. I am busy making meaning out of these experiences. In this amazing, staggering process known as aging, I see the opportunity for accelerated growth and change.”
