Boy Reports Being Approached by Man in Conservation Area

A young boy told police that a man approached him Saturday morning in the conservation area off Old Salem Road.

A post on the Facebook page of the Marblehead Police Department said the boy described the person as being a white man with black hair in his 40s. The suspect was wearing a fedora-style hat and eyeglasses. The man did not have any facial hair.

The boy told police that the man was wearing a dress shirt at the time of the encounter, but the boy could not recall the color.

Marblehead Police, Salem State University Police and Salem Police have been in the area looking for the individual.
