Get rid of anything unworn items from last years summer wardrobe. If you didn't wear it last summer,chances are you won't wear it this summer. Sometimes we hold on to things because it has an emotional connection or because we paid a lot for it. Try to put the emotion aside, Instead, consign it at Madame Hadem, a designer consignment store on Washington St. or donate it to the Magic Hat, a consignment store located at the Marblehead Veterans School. All proceeds go back to the public schools!

Is there anything better than putting on some crisp, clean white summer clothes? Many times less is more, stocking up on some new white tanks and tees, shorts and the trendy white pant of the season will get you ready for summer in no time! 3. PUT MORE INTENSITY BEHIND YOUR WORKOUTS!

Whether you are a walker, runner, boot camp guru, yoga guru or cyclist, we all reach a point where our body is used to and expects a certain workout. To jump start your metabolism, try something different. You may step out of your comfort zone like I did. I started doing Bikram Yoga a few months back...it has awakened my body and mind. 4. CLEAN UP YOUR DIET!
Just like the closet, summer is a great time to reevaluate our diet. Cutting 100 calories a day can ward off 10 lbs over the course of a year. Be aware of the amount that you are consuming at all those summer gatherings. We are always warned about weight gain around the holidays but summer can sabotage our diets just the same. One word.. GRILL!
5.BUY A GOOD HAT AND WEAR IT!
I know, I know...my kids hate my straw wide brimmed hat but my skin loves it! Look at it as a fashion statement that will give you amazing benefits. I always equated brimmed hats with getting older. The fact of the matter is, it will protect your skin especially you forehead where the wrinkles come fast and furious with prolonged sun exposure!
6. FIND A BRONZER THAT MATCHES YOUR SKIN TONE!
If you are wearing the hat( and you should be) you will need a good BRONZER. I caution you though, I don't think there is anything less fashionable than wearing make up that doesn't match your skin tone. If you have never bought BRONZER before..please,please,please consult a professional. You don't have to spend a lot of money just make sure it is right for you! 7. FIND A MOISTURIZER WITH TINT AND SPF!
I am not sure who it was that invented the moisturizer with tint but I would really like to meet this person. In my opinion it is one of the best creations ever. It gives you a finished look and you can throw it on in the morning to give yourself a little color while protecting your skin at the same time. I will warn you, this like the BRONZER needs to match your skin tone. Laura Mercier in sand matches most skin tones and will give you that subtle glow we all strive for.
8. BUY NEW BEACH TOWELS!
This is a luxury I know but trust me when you get to the beach and everyone has their new vibrant towels..you will be glad you did. I know, I know you have those monogrammed ones from 10 years ago. My advice, cut them up and use them for rags or use them for for your new workout regime.
