
Join award-winning artist and Marblehead Arts Association member, Todd Zalewski, in this 6-week adult class to learn the tools and techniques of creating realistic watercolor paintings. Class takes place Saturday mornings, 9am-12pm, between September 12th and October 17th.
Todd will teach the various techniques, materials used, and initial sketching for you to create your own watercolor painting. You’ll learn techniques such as dry-brush, wet on wet, gouache on toned paper, and using masking fluid/tape as paint restrictor. This class is open to beginners and advanced students, and instruction is tailored to each student’s skill level.
Todd is nationally recognized for his realistic bird and wildlife art, having created illustrations for the Field Guide to North American Mammals and won commissions from renowned institutions such as the Smithsonian Museum of Natural History, New Jersey State Aquarium, and Philadelphia Zoo.
