Candace Fleming in Discussion

Join us for an online author visit! We’ll have a small watch party in the Teen Room. Refreshments will be served.

In this high-energy session for teens, acclaimed author Candace Fleming pulls back the curtain on how real stories get made. Packed with humor and dynamic visuals, this lively discussion dives into the fun side of narrative craft—from sleuthing through wild facts and primary sources to shaping big ideas into edge-of-your-seat plots. Students will explore the deliberate editorial choices authors make to bring a story to life, find their authentic voice, and be inspired to bring their own boldest ideas to the page.

Sign up to be part of the watch party (for ages 13-18) or get Zoom access information at tinyurl.com/Fleming-Talk. If registering for Zoom, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the meeting online.
