Update: Missing Danvers Man Found

Update: Shortly before 3 p.m, Danvers police announced Peter Long had been found safe and sound.

Danvers police have put out a missing person alert for the area for Francis “Peter” Long.

Long is a white male, 76 yrs old, approximately 5’9”, 175 lbs with gray hair and hazel eyes.

He walked away from a facility on Kirkbride Dr (near Route 1, Route 62/Maple St, and Route 95) at approximately 12:45 pm on Wednesday.

He was last seen wearing a white shirt, maroon sweat pants and a red hat. Long is from the Swampscott/Marblehead area and may be heading that way. Long has a history of dementia and Alzheimer’s.

Danvers police officials are asking people to note that the above RMV photo is about ten years old.
