Did You Experience It? — Bright Flash, Clap of Thundersnow Shake Marblehead
Marblehead residents took to social media Tuesday afternoon when the wild winter weather took a strange turn.

Tuesday's now storm brought with it meteorological anomalies — thundersnow and what appeared to be a lightning flash.
Patch Editor Owen Boss tells me he saw it and heard it at his Atlantic Avenue apartment, near the CVS.
He wasn't alone. We asked about it on the Marblehead Patch Facebook page and here's what some of you had to say:

- "Scared the daylights out of me!," wrote Franny Mundy.
- "A Jim Cantore moment. He loved thunder snow!," wrote Sally Sands.
- "Shook my house in Clifton Heights. Don't know where it hit, though," reported Cathyann Swindlehurst.
- "The thunder was so loud, I nearly fell off of the couch. The dog when crazy barking. It took 10 minutes to calm her down," Patricia Ragusa Mastrorio wrote.
Judging from what Owen Boss saw and the Facebook discussion, looks like it was a lightning strike, which occurred shortly before 3 p.m., possible hitting in the Clifton area. Reports from residents of nearby Patch towns indicate it was powerful enough to have been heard in Peabody, Salem and Lynn.
