Will Help Guide Nation's Second Largest Arc

The Northeast Arc, a not-for-profit organization that helps children and adults with disabilities become full participants in the community, has elected Elizabeth Tauro of Marblehead to its Board of Directors
Tauro is the Planning Outreach and Engagement Director at Combined Jewish Philanthropies (CJP). Her responsibilities include oversight of the Transitions to Work program with a focus on business development and marketing designed to engage corporate partners to interview and hire program graduates and create change in hiring attitudes and practices to view adults with disabilities as qualified, committed candidates for appropriate employment opportunities.
“The experience I have through my work at the CJP ties in perfectly with the work the Northeast Arc does every day to change preconceived notions of ability and help people with disabilities be hired and succeed in meaningful and competitive employment ,” said Elizabeth Tauro. “I hope to use my skills as a Northeast Arc board member to continue to change the lives of people with disabilities and their families.”
