Erratic Driving And A 'F--- You!': Marblehead Police Log

Some bad drivers prompted calls to police Monday.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are from excerpts from Monday's Marblehead Police log:

8:46 a.m. - An anonymous person reported he was walking the crosswalk at Humphrey and West and a vehicle traveling at least 50 miles per hour almost struck him. The man believes it's an ongoing problem and wants someone to monitor the speed.

10:37 a.m. - Caller reports she found a syringe near Devereux Terrace.

1:24 p.m. - Multiple calls regarding the IRS scam that has been going around.

1:25 p.m. - Caller reports two kids playing on bridge at Lafayette. Caller concerned as sign says "do not swim."

2:21 p.m. - Caller reports a male in a black Nissan is nodding off at the wheel near Village St.

3:23 p.m. - A caller was looking for advice after he asked a friend to watch his canoe while he was off at school. He noticed on the Internet that the canoe is now for sale online.

4:04 p.m. - A caller said that while at the lights of Smith and Pleasant a "a white SUV came up to the right lane and sped past the cars headed straight on Pleasant St." Caller then said the vehicle "took a turn onto Ocean, going up and over the fire department property" and took off.

8:24 p.m. - A Jeep Wrangler was reported driving erratically at Atlantic and Gerry, swerving into the opposite lane, and yelling 'F*** You.'

8:50 p.m. - Umpire got hit in the fact with a ball and was transported to the hospital.

9:23 p.m. - Someone said a silver sedan was "all over the road" and at one point "was driving on the other side, it turned onto May Street, hitting the curb and coming back down again."

11:56 p.m. - Someone said two males on Elm Street threw rocks through upstairs and downstairs window. No one was hit hit. The people were chased but not caught.
