Marblehead Maritime Museum Opens at Abbot Hall

The Town of Marblehead Historical Commission announces the opening of the newly renovated Maritime Museum at Abbot Hall. This Museum celebrates Marblehead's naval history, including: being the Birthplace of the American Navy; Glover's Regiment; Marblehead's connection to the USS Constitution; Marblehead Naval Heroes and the ships named for them; The three USS Marbleheads; Marblehead's place in aviation, including Birthplace of Marine Corps Aviation and W. Starling Burgess's contributions to aviation.
