FBI Report: How Much Violent Crime Happened in Marblehead?

The FBI recently released its annual ”Crime in the United States” report, which includes information about Marblehead.

According to the report, Marblehead saw 23 violent crimes in 2014. Violent crime includes offenses involving force or the threat of force: murder and non-negligent manslaughter, rape, robbery and aggravated assault, according to the FBI.

The violent crimes in Marblehead consisted of one murder or non-negligent manslaughter, three rapes, and 19 aggravated assaults.

Other crime stats for Marblehead include 224 property crimes, of which 10 were motor vehicle thefts, and two cases of arson.

Nationally, violent crime decreased nationally last year by 0.2 percent from 2013, according to the report.
