Five Things to Know: Morning High Tide Will Be a Foot Higher Than Thursday's

1. Weather Watch: Snow continues, mainly before 3 p.m. High near 39. Winds also continue, with a north wind 24 to 30 mph and gusts as high as 47 mph. Total daytime snow accumulation of less than one inch possible.

- Low tide: 1:12 p.m.
- Sunset: 5:41 p.m.
2. Flooding Concerns: This morning's high tide, which reaches its peak at 7:52 a.m., may be a doozy for Marblehead. It's expected to be a full foot higher than Thursday morning's high tide, which closed the causeway and pounded Devereux Beach.
3. Winds Also Continue: The strong winds also won't let up today, as the National Weather Service's wind warning remains in effect through 1 p.m. Gusts of 47 mph are expected and they could push 50 mph.

5. School's Open, But Delayed: While Salem and Peabody closed their schools today, there's no such luck for the children of Marblehead. Instead, there is a two-hour delay in opening, according to Patch news partner 7News.
