2. A Town Meeting Primer: Town Meeting is coming soon, on May 6. The town's Web site has a nice overview for those of you who may be new to this exercise in direct democracy.

3. Municipal Meetings: Today's meetings include the Old Town House Oversight Committee, Marblehead Forever Committee and Recreation and Parks Commission. Here are the details on where and when, plus links to the agendas.

4. Vote for North Shore "Idol" Finalist: Tonight, in a show that starts on Fox at 8 p.m., Beverly's Angie Miller is scheduled to perform a classic rock song. Listen in for the number to vote for her and send her on from the round of seven.

5. Help the Topsfield Fair Pick a Theme: America's oldest agricultural fair is leaving that decision up to you. Through April 10, the fair is running a contest to decide the theme. To submit your ideas, visit their Facebook page and fill out the entry form. The person with the winning theme idea will receive a prize package that includes four tickets to the 2013 fair. There will also be runner-up prizes. The fair itself will last Oct. 4-14.
