Flag Damaged, Veterans Plaque Out of Place at Cemetery

At 12:21 a.m., a caller reported a woman going through recycling bins on Heritage Way. She was located and told to move along.
At 8:39 a.m., a lost wallet was reported.

At 9:31 a.m., a woman reported that she was walking in the cemetery on July 4 and spotted a flag on the ground. When she examined the flag, she found the pole was broken and the flag had been cut. She also found a bronze veterans grave marker on the ground.

At 10:32 a.m., a man reported that a woman accused him of getting paint on her car. When he told her that he hadn’t done any exterior painting and couldn’t have gotten paint on the car, she drove off telling him she was headed to the police station. When the woman arrived at the station, an officer was able to determine that it was bird droppings, not paint, on her car.
At 11:40 a.m., a walk-in reported money and jewelry stolen.
At 5:45 p.m., a person reported vandalism to a home being built on Cornell Road.
