Hundreds Of Dead Fish In Marblehead: Police Log

MARBLEHEAD, MA — The following are excerpts from Wednesday's Marblehead Police log. Arrests do not indicate convictions.
9:13 a.m. - A woman said she saw someone standing by the National Grand Bank holding up a sign about "maggots" and "I hope you die." Police told the woman the man was exercising his First Amendment rights.
9:30 a.m. - Caller reported a bunch of dead fish, a "natural phenomenon." The dead fish were pogies that were chased in by stripers. When the tide went out, the pogies got stranded in the shallow tidal ponds and died. There were a couple hundred of them.

9:54 a.m. - Woman said she was almost hit by a driver who wasn't paying attention. She said he cut into her lane while driving the opposite direction.
6:47 p.m. - Someone reported an unknown shirtless man in his 20s was in their house on Harbor Ave. Police arrested a 20-year-old Lynn man and charged him with breaking and entering during the daytime for a felony, breaking and entering of a motor vehicle, trespassing, and larceny from a building.

9:05 p.m. - A woman said she just got into a road rage incident with a man on Farrell Court. The man called her a "piece of s---" and repeatedly said 'f--- you." She said he blocked her in and said 'you can f---ing stay here for a few hours now." She said this all happened because she "accidentally parked in his spot."
