Hungry Betty's Eyeing Outdoor Seating
The owner of Hungry Betty's Bar & Grille is scheduled to appear before the town's Zoning Board of Appeals tonight and request permission for outdoor seating.

Patty Johnson, owner of , a restaurant in Village Plaza that opened its doors in February, is expected to appear before the town's tonight and request permission for an outdoor seating area for 20.
The proposed seating area, which would be located directly outside of the restaurant, will be open to debate tonight at a public hearing scheduled to begin at 8:15 p.m. in the Selectmen's meeting room of .
Johnson has asked the board to to "vary the application of the present Zoning By-law by allowing a Special Permit or Variance to allow outdoor restaurant seating for 20," according to an announcement posted by the board.

The plans for the seating area and additional information are available at the town's Engineering Department, located at 7 Widger Road.
In an interview with Marblehead Patch in April, Johnson said Hungry Betty's aims to provide "a casual concept, offering bang for your buck and a place to go when you don’t feel like cooking."
