Jogger Spots Man Clutching a Screwdriver Behind His Back

Saturday, April 25

At 8:41 a.m., a woman reported her car mirror was smashed some time overnight.

At 9:12 a.m., a mom called and said her daughter had received a cellular phone call during that included “inappropriate content.”

At 2:33 p.m., a caller reported that the toilet at the Village School track will not stop flushing.

At 8:21 p.m., a suspicious pest control van was reported on Ocean Avenue. The caller said it had been parked on the street for 12 hours and recently a car had approached it, taken items out of it and sped off. Police investigated and found nothing amiss.

Sunday, April 26

At 7:12 a.m., a commercial breaking and entering was reported on Woodfin Terrace.

At 9:45 a.m., a jogger reported that an older man was walking on Harbor near Flint Street with a screwdriver clutched behind his back.

At 10:07 a.m., a folding knife was found near the tennis courts on Seaside.

At 10:26 a.m., a man reported that his mother’s car mirror had been samaged overnight.

At 10:40 a.m., two IDs were turned into police; one was expired and the other was suspended due to the owner’s refusal to take a chemical test. Both IDs were destroyed.

At 10:49 a.m., a man reported that someone had rung his doorbell and run away twice the night before. In the morning, he noticed his neighbor’s mailbox had been ripped off and thrown in the woods.

At 12 p.m., an officer came upon a discarded needle on Ocean Avenue. The needle was secured and the area was searched for others.

At 9:33 p.m., a caller reported that people parked in a vehicle on Roundhouse Road were smoking pot. The smoke, the caller said, was coming in her windows. Police spoke with the individuals and they left the area.
