Kids Find Stolen Briefcase with Purple Heart — Police Locate Recipient

Friday, March 29
- At 1:25 p.m., police received a report of a man walking a path behind the JCC and carrying a rifle or a pellet gun. Police checked the area as well behind the high school and the railroad area.
- At 2:18 p.m., a caller reported that a tree on Atlantic Avenue appeared about to fall.
- At 3:07, police received a report about a constantly unattended 6-year-old.
Saturday, March 30
- At 2:35 a.m., police received a report from a Mechanic Street wife who said her husband was drunk and threatening.
- At 9:16 a.m., police received a report that a car had been side-wiped on Bubier Road.
- At 9:36 a.m., police received a purse that had been found on Washington Street. Police returned the purse to its owner.
- *11:44 a.m., police received a report from a Gerald Road resident who said that his children were out playing and they found two briefcases, one of which contained a Purple Heart. Police noted that the briefcases had been stolen from a location in town and returned them. The wife at the location identified the items as belonging to her husband.
