Lobsters Stolen From Dock

Wednesday, Dec. 31

At 11:34 a.m., police responded to West Shore Drive about a man in a pickup truck possible emptying his trash in a park. Police spoke to the man who was consolidating his recycling.

At 3:26 p.m., a person reported that a lobsterman had a crate of about 50 pounds of lobster stolen from the fuel dock at the Front Street landing on the night before Thanksgiving. This week, another lobsterman had lobsters stolen from the same area. He wanted to make police aware of the thefts.

At 3:33 p.m., police responded to Taft Street about two cars racing in the area. Police were unable to locate the vehicles.

At 7:16 p.m., police responded to Ocean Avenue after a motorist struck a wall and pole. A ground electric box was also struck, which caused mineral oil to spill from the box. Clean Harbors has been cleaning up the spill. There were no injuries.
