Love a Good Thriller? Meet Award-Winning Mystery Writers at the JCC’s Jewish Book Month
The JCC of the North Shore is launching its 21st annual Jewish Book Month series with an amazing line-up of authors, artists, musicians and events. One of the highlights is Mystery Night, with award-winning authors sharing their secrets to writing the perfect thriller.
Another once-in-a-lifetime event features the Bau sisters – daughters of Joseph Bau, Holocaust survivor and Israeli artist and poet. Bau found reason for hope, even in the darkness of concentration camps. His daughters, Hadasa and Clila, are traveling from Israel to present their father’s stories and artwork, which reveal a remarkable optimism and humor.

The Ice Cream Queen of Orchard Street with Susan Jane Gilman

Terezín Music Foundation- Liberation Project with Mark Ludwig
Straight from Symphony Hall! Join us for a unique night of live classical music and poetry celebrating the human spirit. Mark Ludwig, founder of the Terezin Music Foundation, invited world-renowned writers to pen new works on freedom and then asked composers to set those poems to music. The project marks the 70th anniversary of the liberation of Nazi camps. This live performance is sure to move and inspire.
