Low Flying Helicopters Expected in the Coming Days
The following information was submitted by the Marblehead Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned, it does not indicate a conviction.

Wednesday, May 1
- At 07:42 a.m., a stolen license plate was reported on Pond Street.
- At 8:11 a.m., police received a report of a high school student found with drug paraphenalia. A citation was issued.
- At 11:01 a.m., police received a report of a stolen wallet on Franklin Street.
- At 8:57 p.m., police and fire units responded to an accident at Atlantic Avenue and Commercial Street. Airbags deployed but no one was injured. Vehicles were towed from the scene.
Thursday, May 2
- At 10:10 a.m., police received a call over what was later determined to be a civil matter. The caller said that his vehicle was stolen by his wife who was using it without his permission, moving things out of the house.
- At 10:15 a.m. ,the middle school principal reported that students at the school were given permission by selectmen to set up camp at Fort Sewall for a stop on the 8th grade's annual walking tour.
- At 11:43 a.m., police were notified that there will be low flying helicopters in town. National Grid PM&CC Inspection/Maintenance Group will start their first visual inspection program for transmission lines in New England starting Monday May 6. These flights will be conducted over a 15-20 working day period plus any additional days added for weather cancellations.
