Man Reportedly Looking in Porch Windows at Night

Monday, April 22

  • At 8:56 a.m., police received a call about a man in a hoodie sitting on a fence on Ocean Avenue after the castle. Turned out the man was a landscaper working. 
  • At 10:33 a.m., police learned of another tagging incident on Berringer Way over the weekend.
  • At 2:06 p.m., police helped a Brackett Place resident get back in the house.
  • At 2:18 p.m., police received a call from Stacey Court about harassment via text messaging. The caller said the harassment lasted 30 minutes to an hour. The texter said he was going to tell her boyfriend things about her and that she was a bad person. Police said she could come to the station and talk to an officer. The caller declined, saying she was going to ask her brother to talk to the texter but if the texting continues she will call police back.

Tuesday, April 23

  • At 12:06 p.m., a Maple Street caller reported a hit and run that took place the day before when a car passed him on the right going over the curb and striking the side-view mirror on his car. Police spoke with the driver of the reported offending car and he denied any contact took place. Police inspected his vehicle and it did not appear that there was any damage consistent with the crash description.
  • At 11:16 p.m., police received a report from Nonantum Road, the caller saying a person in a hooded sweatshirt looked in his porch windows. The person was possibly wearing a green hood. When the person outside saw the caller and his wife look back at him the man walked away, the caller said. The caller turned on his lights. They have not seen the man since then.

  • At 10:24 p.m., a caller reported suspicious activity on Bassett Street. When she returned for a walk she noticed a door slightly ajar in her apartment, a door that she never uses.
