Marblehead Declares Snow Emergency Parking Ban Ahead Of Saturday Storm

Officials said the ban was declared with the North Shore expected to receive up to 4 to 6 inches of snow.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead has declared a snow emergency parking ban effective at 11:45 p.m. on Friday ahead of storm that could bring up to 6 inches of snow to the North Shore.

"Due to the unpredictability and length of this storm event, the ban will not be lifted until the road conditions are safe.," officials said. "Residents and visitors are urged to plan and park responsibly to help keep roadways clear and safe throughout this winter weather event prior to the Friday parking ban at 11:45 p.m."

The National Weather Service is forecasting a widespread 3 to 4 inches of snow from the showers that will begin early Saturday morning and continue off and on the entire day, according to the NWS.
