Marblehead Horribles July 4 Parade Now Set For Sunday
The parade was postponed to this weekend because of rain and thunder forecast on the holiday.

MARBLEHEAD, MA — While the Fourth of July may be in the rearview mirror for most, the holiday festivities are not quite over yet in Marblehead.
Because of rain and thunderstorms earlier this week, the annual Horribles Parade was postponed to Sunday morning at 10 a.m. Registration will be in the National Grand parking lot on Pleasant Street from 8:30 to 9:30 a.m. on Sunday.
This year's categories are current events, original and historical/patriotic costumes. Children are encouraged to create costumes that embrace these themes.

Each child in the parade will receive a bag of goodies.
Those planning to march or attend are reminded that this is a children's parade so no motor vehicles will be allowed, and to take that into consideration when planning costumes and "horrible" costume themes.

The parade route will remain the same as in previous years starting and ending in the National Grand Bank's parking lot.
Road closures will take place accordingly as the parade proceeds. Essex Street will be closed during staging and the parade.
