Marblehead Little Theatre to perform Romeo & Juliet in the gardens of the Lee Mansion

Timeless classic performed in a garden setting. Bring your blanket, picnic basket and enjoy!

Tickets are now on sale for the Marblehead Little Theatre and the Marblehead Museum outdoor production of Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet. The show is being produced by Michael Gorfinkle and directed by Emily Grove.

Romeo & Juliet, Shakespeare’s most popular romantic tragedy of two star crossed lovers, will be performed in the Jeremiah Lee Mansion garden in downtown Marblehead, 170 Washington Street, August 15, 16, 22 and 23 at 1PM and 5PM each date. It’s a timeless story of young passions caught between feuding families.

The Philadelphia Shakespeare Company describes Romeo & Juliet as “…the love story by which all others are measured. It is as fresh today as it was 450 years ago. In this iconic romance, Shakespeare captured for eternity what it means to find love, fight for and sacrifice for it, then to ultimately determine what love is for ourselves, not as prescribed by other’s outmoded and fossilized notions.”
