Marblehead Police Candy Drive For Operation Troop Support Returns
Marblehead police will collect "leftover" candy through Nov. 13 for delivery to Operation Troop Support of Danvers.
MARBLEHEAD, MA — Marblehead families who struck it a little too rich during Halloween trick-or-treating are encouraged to donate that extra candy to help Operation Troop Support of Danvers.
Marblehead police are once again running the candy drive where candy will be collected and delivered to the Danvers-based group, which then sends it to troops serving across the globe.
Candy can be brought to the Marblehead Police Station at 11 Gerry Street at any time. The drive began on Tuesday and will continue through Nov. 13.

Those donating are asked to drop the candy in one of the large bins in the lobby. No appointments are needed for the "touchless" donation process. The lobby is open 24 hours a day.
With the exception of the 2020 pandemic year, Operation Troop Support of Danvers has collected the candy from area donations each year and then shipped drums of the goodies to troops serving in many different parts of the world.
