Marblehead Police logs: Broken Bong Found, Credit Card Scam

MARBLEHEAD, MA —The following are highlights from the Marblehead Police Department Logs for Wednesday, Nov. 15 and Thursday, Nov. 16.

Wednesday, Nov. 15

  • Police were called to Kenneth Road for a juvenile with an active warrant. After the suspect was apprehended yesterday he was returned to the care of the Dept. of Children and Families, but escaped overnight. He was apprehended by Marblehead Police are a short chase.
  • A resident on Dodge Street was served a No Trespass Order from Marblehead Public Schools.
  • Police were called to Farrell Court to pick up prescription medicine for destruction.
  • Police stopped a vehicle on Tedesco Street after the driver made a right on red where prohibited. After a check, police discovered the registration was revoked. The car was towed.
  • A Gerald Street resident found and turned in a broken glass bong near McKinley Street.
  • A Washington Street resident reported a Verizon truck hit her car.
  • A Kimball Street resident called the police to report loud lawnmowers in the neighborhood. According to police, there is a rule prohibiting landscaping on Sunday's unless it is an emergency.
  • Police were called to investigate a credit card scam by a Longview Drive resident. The victim reported receiving an email from Lowe's detailing a $530 order she didn't place.
  • A Pleasant Street resident turned in a purse with a check and some cash in it found outside of Starbucks.
  • A Bartlett Street resident reported a missing package which was allegedly delivered on Aug. 21.
  • A Crowninshield Road parent reported to police that her daughter's social media accounts were hacked and the suspect had posted racial slurs and pornography.
  • A Gerald Street resident reported a solicitor asking to do roof repairs, asking personal questions and recording the conversation.

  • Police were called to check out a suspicious vehicle in the Parks and Recreation lot.
