With a motto of quality education, individual attention and working with people to reach their goals, seasoned dancers, avocational, and aspiring dancers -- men, women, girls, and boys of all ages will find a range of opportunities available to meet their interests at this dance oasis on the North Shore. This fall, the MSB provides weekly classes in ballet, pointe, and variations; pre-ballet and creative movement; modern and jazz; repertory; pilates, stretch and strength; and partner dancing with ballroom, fox trot, swing, Latin, Argentine Tango and salsa. Private lessons are also available for dancers preparing for a special event or seeking additional instruction.

Seasoned and aspiring dancers find high quality training at the MSB. “The internal mechanics of the body are emphasized and not the superficial aspects of style, bringing the dance to a higher level. For new students of all ages, MSB offers a very strong foundation emphasizing proper technique, such as correct alignment, body mechanics and musicality,” said Paula K. Shiff, recipient of Salem State University’s 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award in the Arts.
