Boston Medflight transported a diver to Massachusetts General Hospital after a boat brought the man to Marblehead’s shore Saturday afternoon.
Marblehead Fire Chief Jason Gilliland said the man did not have physical injuries, as in broken bones or cuts, but appeared to possibly have been suffering from “the bends,” or decompression sickness that occurs when a diver rises toward the surface too quickly.
