Mysterious Trunk on Green Street

You can never be too careful these days about what people leave on the sidewalk in front of your house.

Thankfully for Green Street residents on Wednesday morning, a call for a mysterious trunk on the sidewalk ended up having a logical explanation.

Shortly before 11 a.m., police got a call from a Green Street resident reporting a “black thing” on the sidewalk between her house and the house next door.

She said it was mysterious and that the neighbors had concerns about it. It was further described as a trunk, with no one knowing where it came from.

The caller said that a man returned to the black trunk and put a drone inside it before walking away toward a car near Powder House Road.

Police discovered that the man was going around town flying the drone to take photographs for next year’s Marblehead Festival of Arts.
