North Shore Civic Ballet Launches Post-Holiday Online Auction

Place your bids now on a range of items in the North Shore Civic Ballet's post-holiday auction to support aspiring dancers.

The North Shore Civic Ballet Company's (NSCB) post-holiday online auction is underway. Shoppers will find some good bargains to bid upon to give as gifts throughout the year and just in time for Valentine's Day on February 14.

The NSCB's auction web site page is accepting bids 24-7 and continuing through Monday, January 23, closing at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds raised from the auction will be used to provide dancers with funds for scholarships, new choreography, equipment, costuming and other resources and training they need to study ballet in the North Shore region.

Bidders will find a range of items to purchase, including jewelry, piano and dance lessons, signed dance posters, watercolor dance paintings, experiences, gift certificates to area shops and restaurants, and more. Shoppers should visit the site frequently to view the new items added throughout the run.

"Ballet is a traditional art form passed from one generation to the next. The post-holiday auction will raise funds for scholarships, equipment and other resources that aspiring dancers need to learn this art form correctly under the guidance of professional instructors. People can get involved by volunteering with the ballet company, asking merchants to donate a gift certificate or gift card for the auction, donating an item for the auction, placing a bid on an item, or inviting family and friends to place a bid and support dance, culture and the arts in the North Shore region," said Paula K. Shiff, Artistic Director, NSCB.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available for individuals and businesses to support the ballet company. An auction sponsor can get involved with the ballet company and champion this cause while gaining valuable visibility on the organization's auction website. Sponsorship opportunities for every contribution level are available to meet a sponsor's requirements.

Financial contributions are also welcome and may be made directly to the ballet company. The NCSB is a 501 (c) 3, tax-exempt organization and all contributions are tax-deductible as permissible by law.
