North Shore Civic Ballet's Online Holiday Auction to Support a New Generation of Dancers

Support the training of aspiring dancers and shop in the North Shore Civic Ballet's annual holiday auction kicking off on November 7.

The North Shore Civic Ballet (NSCB), a nonprofit dance company based in Marblehead, Massachusetts, launches its annual holiday online auction on November 7, 2016. Get your holiday shopping done early this year and make a dancer's dreams come true. The NSCB's auction web site page opens for bids on Monday, November 7 at 6:00 p.m. and continues through Monday, November 28, 2016 closing at 6:00 p.m. Proceeds raised from the auction will provide dancers with the resources and training they need to study ballet in the North Shore region.

"The annual holiday auction raises needed funds for scholarships, new choreography, equipment, costuming and other resources that aspiring dancers in the region require to study ballet. Businesses, as well as patrons, benefit from participating in the auction because people have an opportunity to try restaurants and other experiences, such as plays, concerts, and cruises, among others that they might never have tried," said Judy Moynihan, member, NSCB board of trustees.

Bidders will find a range of items to purchase, including gift certificates and gift cards from retail shops and restaurants such as Marblehead House of Pizza and Mino's Roast Beef, tickets to the Boston Philharmonic and the Merrimack Repertory Theatre, jewelry from Jambu Jewelry, clothing from Pint Size and Up Marblehead, and services for sewing classes at Sewing Fun. Gorgeous apparel, hand crafted items, and much more will be on sale in the auction just in time for the holidays. Shoppers should visit the site frequently to view the new items added throughout the run.

"With the public's support and contributions to the holiday auction, we can make aspiring dancers' dreams come true. People can get involved by volunteering with the ballet company, asking merchants to donate a gift certificate or gift card for the auction, or making a purchase," said Paula K. Shiff, Artistic Director, NSCB.

Financial contributions are also welcome and may be made directly to the ballet company. The NCSB is a 501 (c) 3, tax-exempt organization and all contributions are tax-deductible as permissible by law.
