Parking Causing Problems on Marblehead Roads

Even a casual perusal of the police log or a quick drive through Marblehead will show that parking can be an issue on the town’s public ways.

The latest parking dispute involved a Greystone Road resident and a contractor.

The resident called police before noon on Tuesday to say that there was a contractor parked on his front lawn.

Shortly after, the contractor called police and made his counterargument that he believed he was legally parked because there were no signs stating that he could not park there.

Police did issue a ticket to the contractor and he moved his truck.

However, the police report notes that the contractor took the parking ticket and tore it up in front of the police officers.
