Update: Pick-Up Crashes Into Bessom Street Business

A Chevrolet Colorado pick-up truck crashed into the front of Accessories by Blass Sunday night.

The accident was reported by a caller at 6:22 p.m. who said that the driver was still sitting in the pick-up and did not appear to be injured, according to the police report.

Paramedics, however, did transport one person to Salem Hospital, the report states.

The 10 Bessom St. boutique's entrance and foundation were damaged in the crash.

Representatives for the property management company and the owner responded to the scene.

The family-run boutique, open since 1992, specializes in jewelry cases, handbags and evening bags.
