Police: Burning Mushrooms; Turn Off the Lights

Thursday, July 30

At 8:59 a.m., there was a report of branches falling on wires on Beacon Street.

At 2:43 p.m., a resident reported paying a contractor $4,000 for a project , but said the contractor has not shown up since paid six weeks ago and has not returned messages.

At 4:50 p.m., a resident reported copious amounts of smoke coming from a restaurant on Washington Street. A restaurant employee said the smoke happens when they burn the mushrooms. The resident suggested the restaurant at least have its vents checked out.

At 12:45 a.m., a caller informed police that he had shut off the lights at Green Street Park and didn’t want to be arrested.
