Police: Gas Leak; Phone Scam

Wednesday, Sept. 9

At 10:49 a.m., a high pressure gas line was severed on Beacon Street.

At 12:29 p.m., there was a motor vehicle accident on Pleasant Street.

At 1:46 p.m., a Bristol Road resident reported an attempted IRS phone scam. A person said he was from the IRS and that the resident owed $4,000 in back taxes. Police assured the resident that the IRS was not coming to arrest her.

Thursday, Sept. 10

At 1:23 a.m., there was a report of a woman crying in a lot on Harris Street and possibly yelling something at a man.
