Police: Jaywalking; Dead Bird's Still There

Thursday, Sept. 3

At 8:30 a.m., a caller was concerned about parents and students jaywalking near the school on Maple Street.

At 11:23 a.m., there was a parking complaint about a truck making the roadway too narrow on Beacon Street.

At 2:50 p.m., a caller reported that a dead bird that had been reported weeks before was still on Pleasant Street. The highway department was notified.

At 5:10 p.m., a caller reported a grey Audi going 50 mph on Ocean Avenue. The caller said it was not the first time the car had sped down the street.

At 5:26 p.m., there was a report of vandalism to a motor vehicle on Circle Street.

At 10:35 p.m., a truck reportedly struck a parked SUV on Humphrey Street and continued heading toward Swampscott.
