Friday, July 24

At 10:59 a.m., a number of items were reported stolen from a boat in Marblehead Harbor.

At 1:01 p.m., a truck pulled down a wire on Winthrop Avenue.

At 3:42 p.m., a woman reported that she saw a man walking a dog down Washington Street and abusing it by yanking on the leash very hard. She said something to the man, and man yelled at her and told her to mind her own business. She said the man later threw a stick at her car when she drove by.

At 9:24 p.m., a Washington Street resident reported a neighbor smashing her flower pot. According to police, the neighbor made good and cleaned up the mess.

Saturday, July 25

At 2:38 a.m., police arrested Gregory K. Maffei Jr., 37, of 12 Davis Road in Marblehead for unarmed burglary.

At 1:26 p.m., a Maverick Street resident put an electric tea pot on top of the stove, and it melted to the stove. The resident called for help clearing the smoke and tips on how to clean the stove.

Sunday, July 26

At 8:25 p.m., a woman from Farrell Court said she was getting strange messages written on a paper and left at her door and that she was feeling creeped out by them.
