Intersection at Atlantic and Clifton will be on timed lights for the next week.

Marblehead police are informing motorists about an issue with the traffic control lights at Atlantic and Clifton Avenues.
They have received word that the “trip pad sensors” in the ground at the intersection have been damaged. They will be replaced next week when the parts arrive.

Basically, the lights will not automatically change when a car arrives at the intersection, according to police.
It will take a minute or two but they will change on their own.
