Popping Noises Possibly Shots Fired — in Salem

Wednesday, April 3

  • At 9:55 a.m., police received a report from a walk-in about an erratic operator passing on the right at Paradise and Walker.
  • At 10:41 a.m., police received a report that kids had found a Social Security card in a play yard on Cornell Road.
  • 10:53 a.m., a woman fell on a Washington Street lawn. She was transported to the hospital.
  • At 1:38 p.m., a parked car was sideswiped on Washington Street.
  • At 2:59 p.m., a man and a friend came to the police station and reported harassment by a neighbor.
  • At 4:25 p.m., a Cloutman Lane resident reported that someone had entered her house while she was out for lunch.
  • At 9:02 p.m.,  a loud couple encountered on Fader Place was advised to move along to private property.

Thursday, April 4

  • At 4:29 a.m., a Pitman Road resident reported hearing popping noises. Salem was on a call at the same time for a report of shots fired.
