Power Outages on Marblehead Neck; Essex Street Closed due to Phone Issues

Shortly after 7 p.m., the Marblehead Police Department reported that there were power outages in limited areas of Marblehead Neck.

According to police, the light department is aware of the outages and working to remedy the situation.

In other utility news, Essex Street will remain closed overnight and through mid-morning tomorrow. Traffic is being detoured up Washington Street as Verizon works on an issue with phone lines.
