Update: Road Construction Causing Detours
Beacon Street closed to vehicle and pedestrian traffic.

Beacon Street is closed between Bradlees Road and Mill’s Pond.
This is because they are installing utilities at #93, making the road completely impassable.
There are detail officers in the area to direct traffic and to allow residents to access their homes.

With that in mind, police are advising that if you live prior to #93 Beacon, St your best access will be to use West Shore Drive and if you live after #93 Beacon St your best access would to come in from Norman St.
Pedestrians are able to access Grace Oliver Beach, however, it is only accessible through the Norman Street side and this is because you will not be able to access that through West Shore Drive.

Police are strongly suggesting that residents use caution and try to avoid the area if possible to help with traffic.

Marblehead police are asking residents to seek an alternative route to avoid the area and we will update you when it is reopened.
Pleasant Street is closed inbound from Smith Street to Mohawk Road, and all inbound traffic is diverted down Smith for the time being. Outbound traffic remains the same.
