Rotary Welcomes International Student

Last Thursday, Alex Falk, Rotary Club Youth Exchange Officer, introduced incoming youth exchange student Wienona Setiawan to the Marblehead Rotary Club’s membership during its weekly Thursday luncheon. Setiawan will be a student at Marblehead High School for the 2015-1016 academic year. Setiawan thanked the membership for sponsoring her visit and exchanged Rotary Club flags from her home Rotary Club in Bandung, Indonesia to Zach Newell, MarbleheadRotary Club President.

Later in the luncheon Professor Pedro Mir, Rotarian and Faculty in the Department of Economics Universidad de Navarra, Spain and visiting professor at Boston College in marketing and communication, delivered a talk about using marketing techniques to enhancing the effectiveness of various Rotary Club programs. At the conclusion of Mir’s remarks, he delivered a Rotary Club flag from his home base club in Menorca, Spain to Zach Newell, Marblehead Rotary Club President.
