St. Andrew's Church Presents An Art Exhibit by Bren Bataclan
The Cloister Gallery at St. Andrew's Church is featuring an exhibition by Boston-based artist Bren Bataclan

The Cloister Gallery at St. Andrew’s Church is featuring an exhibition by renowned artist Bren Bataclan. In the summer of 2003, Bren began his street art installation. The project involves the artist leaving his cartoon inspired paintings for people to take for “free” all over Boston (park benches, train stations, hospitals, senior centers, schools, etc.). Attached to each painting is a note saying, “This painting is yours if you promise to smile at random people more often.” Bren has since gone worldwide with his project and he has begun to paint murals and exhibit his paintings across the country. To date, Bren has given away over 1,500 paintings across the country and around the world. Bren’s project has been widely featured, including in the CBS Evening News with Katie Couric.
The show will open with a reception on Sunday February 5th from 11:15am-12:30 p.m. and run through Thursday March 30th. The Cloister Gallery at St. Andrew’s Church is located at 135 Lafayette St., Marblehead. The Gallery hours are M-F 9am-2pm, Sa 9-10:30am, Su 8am-12pm. The Gallery is handicapped accessible.
