Stolen Marblehead Motorcycle Possibly Involved in Lynn Accident

A motorcycle that was reported stolen in Marblehead on Wednesday evening may have been involved in an accident earlier in the day.

Shortly after 8 p.m., Marblehead police were called to Prospect Street, where a resident said he came home to find his motorcycle missing from his back yard.

The man said he believed it went missing some time between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m. when he was at work.

Shortly after, the Marblehead man got a text stating that his motorcycle had been involved in an accident in Lynn earlier in the afternoon.

Lynn police confirmed that the motorcycle was involved in an accident and that they had the driver’s information. The driver had been MedFlighted to a Boston hospital.

The Marblehead man said he did not know the driver who was in the accident.

According to the Daily Item of Lynn, there was an accident near the Lynn Commons around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The driver of the car was taken to Salem Hospital and reported in stable condition, while the motorcycle operator was MedFlighted to Massachusetts General Hospital.
