Two-Vehicle Crash Includes Police Cruiser

Wednesday, March 6
- At 8:22 p.m., police received a report of sparking wires at Sewall and School Streets. The utility company was notified.
Thursday, March 7
- At 12:31 p.m., police responded to a report of a disturbance at an Elm Street nails business. The suspect reportedly worked at another business in town. Police worked through a language barrier and reported minor injuries. The suspect was told not to return to the nails business.
- At 4:37 p.m., police received a report of an argument involving a tenant at a Mohawk Road address.
- At 9:19 p.m., Salem police called to say they had recovered a wallet that belonged to a Marblehead resident. Marblehead police called the home of the person who had lost the wallet and left a message with the son's father.

- At 8:36 a.m., police received a report that a bale of pot had washed ashore. It turned out the object was foam from a marine float.
- At 9:45 a.m., a dock broke loose in Marblehead Harbor. The harbormaster reported that they will take care of it when the weather is better.
- At 10:29 a.m., police responded to a crash on Clifton Avenue involving two vehicles, one of which was a police cruiser. No injuries were reported. The other vehicle was towed from the scene. The police cruiser was driven back to the police station and the accident report was sent to the Selectmen's Office.
- At 11:21 a.m., police received a report that a manhole cover was off at Tedesco Street and Miles Standish Road. An officer put the cover back on. A plow truck subsequently hit it and popped it off again. Police and DPW cleaned the cover and put it back on.
- At 12:26 p.m., a car hit a tree on Humphrey Street. One patient was transported to Salem Hospital.
- At 12:26 p.m., vandalism reported at a Mohawk Road home where washer hoses were cut resulting in water damage.
