Village School Teacher Mary LeBlanc Wins Merry Mixers Jeep Raffle

Merry Mixers, a non-profit organization founded in 1950 dedicated to enhancing hospital services for children on the North Shore, hosted a Jeep Wrangler raffle fundraising campaign focused on supporting pediatric behavioral health services at MassGeneral for Children at North Shore Medical Center (NSMC). The lucky winner, pulled at the annual Merry Mixers Gala Saturday evening, was Marblehead Village School Fourth Grade Teacher Mary LeBlanc.

Raising funds that provide critical support for more than 5,400 local children, teens and families through the Family Resource Center and the Inpatient Child Psychiatry Unit at NSMC, the Merry Mixers organization is working to surpass the $88,000 raised last year and donate $99,000 to the hospital in 2016.

“For 2016, we felt it was important to not only create a new feel and experience for attendees to our Merry Mixers Gala but also strive to get more and more of our North Shore Community Members involved in supporting such an important local cause,” said Merry Mixers Board Chair Sarah Jennings. “Funds raised around both the Gala and the Jeep raffle provide much-needed funding for groundbreaking initiatives in child and adolescent psychiatric treatments, as well as the dedicated staff working tirelessly on behalf of NSMC’s most vulnerable patients and their families.”
