Young People Flee Underage Party Upon Police's Arrival

Thursday, April 25
- At 11:22 a.m., A veteran's grave marker, found at the beach, was being returned.
- At 12:51 p.m., the vice principal at the high school reported two students were found with marijuana and paraphenalia.
- At 3:02 p.m., loud upstairs neighbors reported on Green Street Court.
Friday, April 26
- At 12:51 p.m., a smashed rear car window was reported on Auburndale Road. Nothing was taken. It appeared the window had been broken from the inside, perhaps when the trunk shut.
- At 8:26 a.m., a hit and run, in which a car mirror was struck, was reported at Elm and Mugford Streets.
- At 2:40 p.m., police received a report of a nasty looking man on the bench in front of the library. The caller thought he was looking at children. The man had a beard and stringy hair and appeared to be homeless.
- At 4:28 p.m., police received a report of about 20 kids in the stands at a game at Wyman Road, using foul language, making it difficult for the parents to watch the game.
- At 10 p.m., police responded to a report of an underage party on High Street. When police arrived kids ran from the property. One youth was taken into protective custody and one youth was released to her parents. Police charged Daniel Christopher Knittle, 19, 10 Risley Road, Marblehead, with underage possession of liquor.
Saturday, April 27

- At 19:13 a.m., police arrested Emmett Charles Leahy, 17, of 26 Franklin St., Marblehead on charges related to a non-Marblehead warrant.
- At 9:43 a.m., a mountain bike, green, with no gears was found on Cottage Street.
- At 10:23 a.m., police reported recovering a GPS, keys and lots of change.
- At 5:19 p.m., a motor vehicle crash was reported on Atlantic Avenue. No injuries were reported.
- At 6:25 p.m., a caller reported a lost iPad. It reportedly fell from a car roof between Sewall Street and Crosby's Market.
- At 6:40 p.m., a ballplayer at West Shore Drive was transported to the hospital for a possible broken arm and concussion behind home plate on the Major League Field.
