2 New Coronavirus Deaths In Marlborough This Week

On top of new coronavirus deaths in Marlborough, the city's case count topped 200 this week.

MARLBOROUGH, MA — The number of coronavirus deaths in Marlborough doubled this week, growing from two to four between Tuesday and Thursday, officials said.

On top of the two new deaths, Marlborough's coronavirus case count rose to 211, more than doubling over the course of one week. Marlborough reported its first two coronavirus deaths on April 7. This week's deaths were reported on Wednesday and Thursday.

Subtracting deaths and 75 people who have recovered from the virus, Marlborough had 132 active coronavirus cases as of Thursday.

On Wednesday, the state Department of Public Health released town-by-town date on coronavirus cases across the state. At that point, Marlborough only had 177 cases, making the city's rate of infection per 100,000 residents 404.
