5 Things You Can't do Today in Marlborough

1. At least for the next day or so, you can't swim on the left side of the beach at Memorial Beach on Hosmer Road. See our story here. 

2. It is illegal for private citizens to use, possess, or sell fireworks in Massachusetts, or to purchase them legally elsewhere and then transport them into the state. 3. There can't be any hunting, motorized vehicles, fires, littering, cutting or removing of trees or plants, camping and swimming at on Concord Rd. Using the City maintained sports fields is also prohibited unless you have a (free) permit for use. These can be obtained by going to the Recreation Department office at Ghiloni behind the skate park. 

4. Seeing as it is such a nice day (today's forecast in is the ), it might be a good time for a bike ride. But before you jump on the bike, remember this: kids 16 and under in Massachusetts must wear a helmet when riding on public roads. 

5. You can't have a bonfire or the equivalent right now. Burning season is January 15 to May 1 of each year.
